Please note that we do NOT support your physical device, ie: phone or tablet. This includes random hardware glitches, spotty GPS jumping, wifi not working, etc. That is covered by the device manufacturer. We only offer support on our software and it’s features. Also note that this is a software license. It is not an “APP” found in the Google Play Store. This purchase is for a SINGLE device.
IMPORTANT – This software is NOT intended to be purchased and setup in a hurry at the trail head. The initial setup requires a STRONG Wi-Fi internet connection. Not having a strong, low loss internet connection will cause issues and you will be directed to tech support, which is closed on weekends and holidays.

How the Software Purchase and Download Process Works: Once you place your order for the software, our activation team will be notified to create your user account based on the email you provide during checkout, so please make sure to enter the email address that you want to be associated with your Lifetime Trailmaps mapping account. We DO NOT recommend iCloud email accounts or Yahoo accounts.
Once your account has been successfully created, we will send you a second email with download and installation instructions. This normally happens within 30 min to 2 hours. However, this may take up to 24 hours in some instances longer. Occasionally, the 2nd download email that we send out to you may go to your SPAM or JUNK folder so please check before letting us know that you didn’t receive the product download link. If you do not receive the second email with download and set up instructions within 24 hours, please send an email to [email protected] along with your name and order number requesting the download and set up email. Please do not email, call or message us asking when you will receive your download email.
Why Samsung? We’ve tested many different devices and our results conclude that Samsung’s internal GPS chipset offers stronger and more reliable GPS signals than any other hardware available, especially in the deep woods canopies with heavy coverage. No refunds available to installations on non Samsung devices. This software does NOT work on Apple devices or with iOS.
Samsung Devices We Recommend :
We recommend any Galaxy Tablet manufactured after 2019 with Android 9 or higher (minimum). The newer the better. Using a tablet with a lesser version than Android 9 can and will yield slower performance and other issues. It does NOT need to be a cellular capable tablet. We also recommend starting with a fresh, factory reset tablet with all Android updates applied. We do NOT recommend A7LITE models. LITE models have slower processors, smaller HD and inferior graphics rendering and are generally made for web surfing and light duty.
Email Address: For your Lifetime Trailmaps account, we highly recommend a GMAIL account for ease of setting up the software. We recommend setting that account up before placing your order so you can enter that email during checkout.
Important: We have found that iCloud, ME and Yahoo accounts are extremely finicky during the setup process. We do not recommend using either of these 3 types of accounts if at all possible.
Mapping Update Options: This software purchase includes our FREE annual mapping updates for life (1 comprehensive mapping update per year), uploaded directly to your device. If you would like to take advantage of our frequent updates (10-15 per year), please complete your software purchase and once you receive your email order confirmation, go to our PREMIUM mapping updates page and purchase your premium subscription. The premium subscription service is $49 per year and renews every year unless you choose to cancel it.
